10 Italian-Argentine Actresses from Buenos Aires
Italian-Argentines are largely of Padanian descent, and make up a huge portion of the country's population. 9 seem to have Padanian surnames. The name "Alfano" is generally Neapolitan, but she looks Padanian and may have some of that ancestry as well. I like that 70s-80s looking magazine cover. Magazine covers were the "fancy websites" before the internet.

Mrs. Lionel Messi Is FIRE! Meet Antonella Roccuzzo

The Fumble
You can argue that Lionel Messi is the best soccer player in the world, so it's only fitting that his bae is the hottest WAG in the game right now. We can't get enough of her, and it seems Lionel can't either, because their love story is straight out of a fairy tale. Lionel fell in love with Antonella when he was just nine years old. The soccer star had written letters to Roccuzzo, stating that she'd be his girlfriend one day.
While she had friendzoned Messi for many years, tragic circumstances brought the pair closer together, and they've been inseparable ever since. They have two children together, and appear to be living in their happily ever after.

Over the weekend I attended a rugby match between the local team, the San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club, and a team from Victoria, British Columbia, James Bay Athletic Association. Golden Gate won the match by an overwhelming margin, although I don't recall the exact score. Golden Gate had won the American Rugby Super League championship in 2009. The hub of local rugby is Rocca Field, located on Treasure Island in San Francisco. Actually, it's on an island on the bay, between San Francisco and Oakland (via the Bay Bridge).
Northern California has been America's chief rugby milieu for decades. The United States national team is called the Eagles, and draws players from different American club teams. All amateur. Rugby is the old English sport that American football developed out of. Local rugby here is particularly popular among Irish-Americans, and Polynesians who once lived under English rule, therefore have long been familiar with the sport. The University of California-Berkeley Golden Bears are long known to have one of the best collegiate teams in rugby, as well.
Although the best teams internationally have been from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom; Italy and Argentina, both made up of mainly Padan-descended players, are two up-and-coming teams on the world scene. On top of international competition, including the Rugby World Cup every four years, there are many club teams which tour around the world, which is a way to gauge the level of play.
The growth of American rugby has been slow and steady over many years, but only fairly recently has gotten well organized with the Super League. One of the very best rugby players of all time was David Campese, an Australian of half Padan descent. He wasn't merely "good," but was possibly the single best player of all time.

World Padanian Nation: Argentina-USA Kindred
To Padanian-Argentinian and Padanian-American kindred and friendship.
Argentina, largely the Buenos Aires province, tended to attract immigrants from the Lombardo-Venetian and Trentino regions; while the United States, largely northern California, tended to attract immigrants from Liguria and Tuscany. Some of our families and clans ended up in both locations, yet we've lost our historical memory of this connection. However, the same ancestry, the same people.
[Music: 'Crimson Tears' by Sindustry]
Lega Nord has an office in Buenos Aires. We too would like to establish a line of communication between the San Francisco Metro and Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. As immigration to Northern California was starting to fizzle out, immigration to these areas was just beginning. For a time our ancestors, and theirs, shared the same ships across the Atlantic ocean.
They often came from the same regions and provinces. Up through the 1880s, northwest Italy (mainly Liguria) was the only part of the Italian peninsula which was open for emigration, which was reflected in the makeup of Northern California. This is also why those who migrated to "the Cone" were primarily from the northeast corner of Italy.
Also, as small numbers of Padanian-descendants from the southern "Cone of South America" (Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Sao Paulo province of Brazil) find their way to California and other states, we want to reach out to them.
We're just using the name "Argentina" as a catch-all term for the entire "Greater Argentina" region. Sao Paulo province has the largest concentration of Italians outside of Italy: Six million people! The city and metro of Sao Paulo has more Italians than any city in the world (yes, more than Rome and Milano!). The population of Sao Paulo Metro is almost 20 million people. The population of the Buenos Aries Metro is over 12 million people. Did you know that Italians MADE Sao Paulo into one of the greatest cities in the world out of absolute abject poverty (before they arrived)?
Also noteworthy is the fact that the climate in this "cone" is not tropical, but very much like the USA or Europe.
